1. Scope
This policy applies to prompts, uploaded images, templates, continued edits and results in every Lightlyn service, and to how you use those results. It is part of the Terms of Service. A model being able to generate something does not mean it is allowed under this policy.
2. Prohibited content
You may not generate, upload, request or distribute content in any of these categories:
| Category | Including, but not limited to |
|---|---|
| 1. Sexual and adult content | Nudity, sexual acts, sexually suggestive content or content intended for sexual arousal; promotion of sexual services. The services have no adult content mode. |
| 2. Violence and gore | Gory injuries, dismemberment, abuse and torture; content that glorifies or incites real-world violence, terrorism, self-harm or suicide. |
| 3. Hate and harassment | Demeaning, hateful, threatening or inciting content targeting people for traits such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability; harassment and bullying of specific individuals. |
| 4. Harm to children | Any sexualized, exploitative or abusive content involving minors, including synthetic, cartoon or fictional depictions; any use that grooms or exploits children. If we find such content, we close the account immediately and report it as the law requires. |
| 5. Deepfakes and impersonation | Face swaps; “undressing” or turning photos of real people into nude or sexualized content; placing real people in intimate scenes such as kissing or embracing; making real people “say” or “do” things they never said or did; impersonating people or organizations to deceive. Not allowed even if the people involved are said to consent, or the image is labeled as AI-generated. |
| 6. Intellectual property infringement | Copying others’ works, characters or trademarks without permission; making images of counterfeit goods, fake brand ads or endorsements; removing watermarks or copyright information. |
You also may not use the services for: any illegal activity; forging IDs, receipts, prescriptions, news photos, chat screenshots or other material that could be used to deceive people; scams and phishing; exposing other people’s private information; instructions for making weapons, explosives or other dangerous items; or content that breaks the usage policies of the model providers we use.
3. Real people
If you upload a photo of a real person, you must be the person in the photo, or have the clear consent of everyone in it and the right to use the photo. Do not use photos of other people taken from social media, someone else’s albums or leaked data; being publicly visible online is not the same as permission.
For photos of yourself or photos you are authorized to use, edits that don’t change who the people are or what happened are fine, such as restoration, sharpening, adjusting color and lighting, or replacing or cleaning up the background. You may not change a person’s identity or place people in events, actions or scenes that did not happen. The same rules apply to public figures.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Getting around safety checks by rewording, encoding or splitting requests, switching models or languages, starting new conversations, or similar tricks.
- Using crawlers, scripts or bulk accounts to scrape the services or other people’s data. Downloading your own work through normal features is fine.
- Attacking, probing or disrupting the services, or accessing other people’s accounts or data without permission.
- Reselling or distributing access to the services, or systematically collecting outputs to train models that compete with Lightlyn.
- Creating several accounts to get around limits, claim offers more than once or evade enforcement.
5. How we moderate
Our checks currently work in these layers:
- At generation: every generation request carries the prohibited categories in section 2 of this policy. When a request clearly falls into one of them, no image is generated; instead you get a short explanation, and all the credits for that request are returned.
- The model’s own safety limits: the image model provider has its own safety policies, and requests it blocks are not charged either.
- Manual review: reports, appeals and borderline cases are reviewed manually by the operator. We keep the content a person looks at to a minimum.
- Ongoing updates: we update our rules as new kinds of abuse appear, and keep the records needed to handle appeals. An independent moderation service that checks each prompt, reference image and result is being prepared; we will update this section when it is turned on.
Automated decisions can never be perfectly accurate. If you think a request was blocked by mistake, you can appeal as described below.
6. Enforcement
Depending on how serious a violation is and whether it is repeated, we may:
- refuse a request or not deliver its result;
- remove or quarantine the content;
- limit some features or how often you can generate;
- suspend or permanently close the account;
- report to law enforcement or other authorities where the law requires.
An accidental slip usually just means a refused request. Serious violations involving harm to children or deepfakes of real people may lead to immediate account closure. When an account is closed, unused paid credits are handled under the Refund Policy.
7. Reports and appeals
Reporting: if you find content that breaks this policy, or your photos, work or trademarks are being misused, email help@lightlyn.com with “Content report” in the subject line, and include the task ID, when it happened, the type of problem and how to reach you where you can. For child safety issues, do not attach, forward or re-upload the images; just give us the information we need to find the content.
What we do: we confirm that we received your report, act once we have verified it, and tell you the outcome where appropriate. Urgent cases such as child safety are handled first.
Appeals: if you think a request was blocked by mistake or your account was handled wrongly, email help@lightlyn.com with “Appeal” in the subject line, the task ID and your reasons. The operator will look at it again and reply.
8. Labeling AI-generated content
Images made with Lightlyn are generated or edited by AI. When you use them where people could be misled, say that they are AI-generated. Do not present AI-generated images as real news photos, evidence, proof or endorsements by real people. Labeling something “AI-generated” does not make content prohibited by this policy acceptable.
This policy may be offered in several languages. The English version is the official version; if a translation differs from it, the English version prevails.
